Oboe — English horn — Conducting — Education — Research — Publication
Dedicated to the advancement of music, music education, and all things oboe and English horn: Unleashing the future while respecting the past.
Performance – Instruction – Conducting
Collaboration – Research – Production
In the 21st century, we are witnessing an astonishing rate of change within the music world. Certain types of specialized music careers that may have been stable, even lucrative a generation ago now no longer exist. Seemingly permanent institutions of American society like the Metropolitan Opera and Cleveland Orchestra are reimagining themselves at a frenetic pace. Yet, there has been an explosion of creative musical activity online and by self-published individuals in independent studios. As performers, as educators, as scholars, we need to do more than just react to the new society around us.
